Carrot Apple Fritters

Apple, Carrot, Egg, Oats, Butter

Carrot apple fritters blend sweet carrot and apple with oats and egg for a soft, fibre-rich breakfast that's naturally sweet and full of vitamins. They're a quick, wholesome option for babies from around 8 months. Pan-cook gently until golden, then cool and serve in strips for little hands.

Ingredients

  • Apple (not too juicy)100 g
  • Carrot90 g
  • Oats20 g
  • Ghee or butter10 g
  • Egg1 pc

Instructions

    Steam or boil the carrots in a small amount of water for 15 minutes.

    While the carrots are cooking, peel the apple and add it to a blender with the oats, egg, and butter. Blend and let it rest while the carrots finish cooking.

    Add the cooked carrots to the blended mixture and blend again until smooth.

    Heat up a frying pan and reduce to low heat. Bake the fritters in a dry pan for 4 minutes on each side.

    *For children older than one year, you can add 1 tsp of baking powder, salt, and sweetener to taste.
