Ptitim with meatballs pairs soft pearl couscous with tender meatballs, zucchini and carrot for a balanced, fun-to-eat bowl of protein, grains and vegetables. It suits babies from around 8 months. Simmer until the meatballs are cooked and the ptitim soft, then serve warm at a safe temperature.

Ingredients

  • Any meat500 g
  • Onion20 g
  • Paprika1 tsp
  • Dry garlic1/2 tsp
  • Oil1 tsp
  • Zucchini200 g
  • Ptitim70 g
  • Carrot50 g
  • Boiling water500 ml
  • Broccoli30 g

Instructions

    Grind the meat in a meat grinder or process in a blender with the onion.

    Grate the zucchini on a fine grater or process in a blender, then squeeze out the excess water slightly.

    Add it to the meat with the spices and mix well.

    Form small meatballs and place them in a preheated frying pan, sear slightly on both sides, then add carrots and 100 ml of water. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes.

    Take the remaining minced meat to make more meatballs, mini-patties, or sausages and put them in the freezer. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before cooking as desired.

    Add the ptitim, remaining water, oil of your choice, and broccoli to the meatballs and carrots.

    Cook for 10 minutes until the water has evaporated.
